An Exploratory Study on Sex Differences in Job Quality among the Working Poor
Kim Eun-Ha

Abstract
This study is to explore the sex differences in job quality among the working poor. To compare working poor men¡¯s job quality with working poor women¡¯s, I use the methodology of Milkman and Dwyer(2002), Goos and Manning(2003), Wright and Dwyer(2003) which defines job quality as occupy ? industry matrix. The results are as follows. First, women have low quality job more than men in static aspects. Second, women retain or go down to lower job quality in dynamic aspects. On the other hands, men have high probability of going up to higher job quality. This results mean that in labor market, working poor women are in more disadvantage situations than working poor men.
